A dispute between the Fourth Division and Hezbollah because of Iranian oil

On Friday, a dispute erupted between the Lebanese "Hezbollah" militia and the "Fourth Division" led by Maher, the brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, about Iranian oil that recently entered Lebanon through Syria.

Local media sources stated that the dispute occurred due to the "Fourth Division’s" claim for a portion of the Iranian oil that is transported through tankers from Banias port to Lebanon via land smuggling routes.

The sources indicated that the Fourth Division withdrew its members deployed at the checkpoints extending from Al-Qusayr in Homs countryside to the Lebanese border.

It added that the division will withdraw from its checkpoints for a period of three continuous days until "Hezbollah" militia finishes transporting fuel from Baniyas port to Lebanon.

It is noteworthy that two Iranian oil tankers arrived at the port of Banias in western Syria five days ago, where "Hezbollah" militia began transporting the fuel that was emptied at the port to Lebanon immediately.
