A prominent leader in the ranks of the pro-Russian forces was killed in Idlib

Opposition news sources said that pages loyal to Al-Assad regime on the social networking site "Facebook" mourned today a senior leader of the pro-Russian militias in Idlib region, northwest of Syria.

The sources stated that Brigadier General Ahmed Hamed Abido, was killed by bombing targeting the military site in which he is located in the fighting axes in Idlib countryside.

It added that the aforementioned brigadier general is from Barin village, in the countryside of Masyaf, which is administratively affiliated to Hama Governorate, in the center of the country, and he is a contractor with the pro-Russian Fifth Corps militia.

Dozens of the leaders of the militias of the regime and Russia were killed in various circumstances, according to Al-Durar Al-Shamiya network, some of them were assassinations and others with separate diseases, and others were killed on the fronts of Idlib and the desert.

And loyalists previously mourned the leader of the National Defense Militia in Palmyra area, east of Homs, Abu Rahan al-Sukhna, who was killed under mysterious circumstances and his body was found in the city with his hands tied, bearing signs of torture.

Activists and human rights activists believe that Al-Assad regime is behind the assassination of some of its militia leaders to obliterate the evidence that condemns it to committing war crimes against the Syrians, for fear of being held accountable at the International Criminal Court in the future.
