SDF arrests a number of teachers and students in Ayn al-Arab

Local sources confirmed that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) raided yesterday evening, Thursday, homes of civilians in Ayn al-Arab city, "Kobani", which is under its control, east of Aleppo, and carried out a campaign of arrests that targeted teachers and students.
The local "Ain al-Furat" network reported that SDF raided the homes of 3 teachers and arrested them on charges of inciting students to demonstrate to demand lifting the ban from the Syrian regime's curriculum.
The network indicated that SDF had arrested 5 students a few hours before the teachers were arrested
It added that the detained students participated in a peaceful demonstration that demanded the prevention of licenses for teachers and institutes that allow them to teach the Syrian regime's curricula instead of the Autonomous Administration curriculum, considering that the Syrian regime's certificates are recognized locally and in neighboring countries, in contrast to the curriculum of SDF's Autonomous Administration.
It is noteworthy that the Autonomous Administration imposes its curricula as an alternative to the curricula of the Syrian regime, despite the dependence of the majority of students in the preparatory and secondary levels on the regime’s curriculum.
