Opposition news sources reported that the former Syrian Prime Minister, who defected from Al-Assad regime, "Riad Hijab" revealed that Bashar al-Assad handed over several military sites to "PKK" party, in order to be a dagger in the side of Turkey.

In a television interview, Hijab said that the Kurds of Syria have rights and just demands, and they must be fair.

He explained, according to what was reported by the opposition Zeitoun Agency, that Al-Assad regime is accusing the Kurds in Syria that they are terrorists and implement the agendas of the United States of America.

He added: I want to talk about an incident that happened while I was witnessing, in 2012, after killing the crisis cell, Bashar al-Assad instructed the commanders of the military units and security services in the Syrian Jazira to vacate their positions and hand over all weapons to the PKK party.

He continued: When we went to meet with Bashar al-Assad, we talked about the reason for handing over these military sites and heavy weapons to PKK, and Bashar al-Assad said literally, these are our allies, and we need them now in order to control the Kurdish people participating in the demonstrations against the regime, and in order to be a dagger in the side of Turkey".

It is noteworthy that Al-Assad regime’s army is deployed alongside members of “SDF” militia and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party “PKK” in many military sites on the border with Turkey, and they mainly participate in battles against the Syrian and Turkish national armies.
