SDF issues a decision not to keep recruits

The Autonomous Administration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced ending the retention of conscripts in its ranks who were born in 1990 until 1997.

The Defense Office of SDF said in a statement issued today, Sunday, that the retention of "compulsory conscription" elements for those who are at the head of their work from births covered by the exemption decision 1990-1997 and exemption from all disciplinary penalties.

The people question the credibility of the decisions issued by SDF due to the lack of commitment to their implementation, due to the arbitrary arrest campaigns it launches from time to time under the pretext of forced conscription.

It is noteworthy that last August, SDF arrested seven young men from Al-Nashwa neighborhood in Al-Hasakah city, and took them to one of its military units to perform compulsory service.
