The regime's foreign ministry comments on Davutoglu's statements regarding the existence of security cooperation between Ankara and Damascus

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian regime denied the existence of any kind of communication or negotiations with the Turkish side in security and counter-terrorism issues, commenting on the statements of Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu, who confirmed the existence of such cooperation.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that: "Syria categorically denies the existence of any kind of communication and negotiations with the Turkish regime, especially in the field of combating terrorism."

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that "Ankara is communicating with Damascus on security issues."

He added in a live interview on the Turkish "NTV" channel, that "there are no direct political negotiations with Damascus, but rather negotiations related to security and the fight against terrorism," according to Al-Mayadeen channel.

Davutoglu also stated that "negotiations with Syria are taking place at the level of the special services and intelligence... This is normal."
