Local sources reported that unidentified gunmen stormed at dawn today, Tuesday, a checkpoint of the regime in the northern countryside of Daraa, which resulted in deaths and injuries among the militias.

According to "Ahrar Houran Gathering", the attack targeted a checkpoint of the State Security Branch between the towns of Mahja and Al-Mujaidil, in the northern countryside of Daraa.

The attackers used machine guns and RPGs, and then withdrew, leaving dead and wounded militiamen.

It is noteworthy that Daraa countryside has witnessed, during the last few weeks, an increase in the frequency of attacks targeting the regime’s checkpoints and security detachments, in support of the besieged neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad.
