Local sources reported that 13 members of the Syrian regime forces were killed in an attack launched by ISIS militants in As-Sukhna desert, west of Deir Ezzor.

And North-Press website quoted a military source in the "Fourth Division" of the regime's forces as saying that 13 members were killed and 5 others captured in an attack by ISIS militants that targeted a night bus for the regime forces on the main road in As-Sukhna desert, which was heading to Deir Ezzor.

The source added, according to the Syrian event website, that the bus was transporting members of the regime forces from their place of service in Homs to a second headquarters in Deir Ezzor.

After the attack, the regime forces brought reinforcements to the site of the incident to comb the desert and search for the detainees.

Previously, 11 members of the Russian-backed "Liwa al-Quds" were killed and wounded in an attack by ISIS elements on Saturday in the desert.
