Two young men drowned in a waterwheel in Afrin

The Syrian Civil Defense announced death two young men who drowned in a water fountain near the city of Afrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo, yesterday, Sunday, in an incident that has been repeated over the last months in northwestern Syria.
The Civil Defense said, through its official accounts, that two young men drowned yesterday, while they were installing a pump to suction water from a water tank in Kafr Shel area in the countryside of Afrin.
The Civil Defense indicated that a team retrieved the two bodies from the waterwheel, and then delivered them to the hospital.
The number of drowning victims in northwestern Syria has risen to 48 since the beginning of this year, according to the Civil Defense.
It is noteworthy that at the end of last August, the Civil Defense team retrieved the body of a child after he drowned in the waters of the Orontes River while swimming near the town of Hamzieh, west of Idlib, and the body of a young man after he drowned while swimming in Lake Lilawa dam near Al-Ghandoura in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
