Today, Sunday, Al-Omari Mosque in Daraa Al-Balad was targeted with an "elephant" land-to-land missile by the regime forces, causing damage to it.

And Syria TV website quoted a source from inside Daraa as saying: "The damage to Al-Omari Mosque is great, and the targeting was direct."

This is not the first time that the regime has targeted Al-Omari Mosque, as it was preceded by a targeting that resulted in the collapse of its minaret in mid-April 2013, at which time the people rebuilt it again.

The source added that the regime forces started again attempts to storm the besieged neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad from the axes of al-Bahar, Bilal Mosque, al-Arba'een Mosque and Haret al-Bado, amid continued missile shelling on the city's neighborhoods with missiles and heavy artillery.
