Al-Assad regime insults Lebanon while receiving a government delegation

News sources confirmed that Al-Assad regime insulted the Lebanese government during its reception of an official delegation for the first time in ten years, which sparked a wave of anger among the Lebanese.

During the reception of Al-Assad's Foreign Minister, Faisal al-Miqdad, to an official Lebanese delegation in Damascus, the meeting of the two sides was limited to the presence of Al-Assad regime's flag, in the presence of the Lebanese delegation, which consisted of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government, Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs Zina Aker, Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni, Minister of Energy Raymond Ghajar and the General Director of Security General Abbas Ibrahim.

Al-Assad's media agency (SANA) published pictures during Miqdad's reception of the Lebanese delegation, and in the picture, the flag of Al-Assad regime was raised twice instead of the Lebanese flag, which many Lebanese considered "malicious" messages and an insult to their country and the sovereignty of their country, intentionally from the Assad regime.

The Lebanese government delegation arrived in Damascus today on an official visit for the first time in ten years, after an American green light that allowed the Lebanese to communicate with Al-Assad regime, with the aim of solving its economic crises, especially discussing the transfer of gas and electricity from Jordan and Egypt through Syrian territory.
