Local sources indicated that a meeting took place yesterday, Saturday, between dignitaries from the towns of Daraa governorate, with Russian officers and officials of Al-Assad regime forces in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood, and this meeting represented a last attempt to find other solutions away from the displacement of the residents of the besieged Daraa neighborhood.
And Syria TV quoted a local source as saying: "The meeting initially resulted in stopping the displacement process."
It added that the forces of the Fourth Division and the Iranian militias targeted the delegation that attended the meeting on its way back from Daraa al-Mahatta to Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.
It explained that the targeting took place in Al-Bahar neighborhood, pointing out that the delegation members were rescued with difficulty, while their cars remained in the middle of the road.
The notables of the western and eastern Daraa countryside had called on the Russian delegation and the security committee to give them an opportunity to meet with the central committee in Daraa al-Balad in order to find a solution and to exclude displacement.
