Yesterday, Friday, the Russian-backed militias closed dozens of commercial trucks near Al-Safiyan crossing, which connects the regime-controlled areas and “SDF” militia-controlled areas south of Tabqa city in the western countryside of Al-Raqqa, against the background of a combing operation carried out by the militias in the area.

The local "Ain al-Furat" network stated that the Russian military police issued direct instructions to the Fifth Corps militia, to stop the movement of the civilian commercial crossing only and to limit it to the transportation of oil, with the aim of launching a security campaign against sites where ISIS cells are believed to exist.

The network added that the Russian military police officers and leaders of the Fifth Corps informed “SDF” to stop the movement of the commercial crossing at the present time with the aim of combing the area by the Fifth Corps and the regime forces with Russian support.

It pointed out that yesterday morning, unknown persons targeted a logistical vehicle of the Fifth Corps with an explosive device, while it was heading from the town of Dibsi Afnan towards the military points in Safian.

It is noteworthy that last Wednesday, the Fifth Corps militia lost contact with its patrol, in the Safyan area, which is under the control of the regime forces and the militias supporting it, south of Tabqa city.
