The regime forces arrested a number of people from the Kurdish at their checkpoints in the vicinity of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo, after years of siding with them in the face of the opposition.

According to the Kurdish "Hawar" agency, the regime's intelligence strengthened its military deployment in the vicinity of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of the Kurdish component in the city of Aleppo, on Wednesday.

It added that the regime forces launched a campaign of arresting against passers-by, which resulted in the arrest of 12 people, including women, at the checkpoints, and their transfer to an unknown destination.

The sources indicated that the patrols raised earth berms in the vicinity of the regime’s checkpoints in Ashrafieh, coinciding with the arrival of support groups to three checkpoints in the vicinity of Sheikh Maqsoud, at Salah al-Din Mosque checkpoint, al-Jazeera laundry checkpoint, and al-Awarid checkpoint, without giving details of its reasons.

It is noteworthy that Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhood pages accused, several days ago, the regime forces of being responsible for the worsening of the living situation of the people, due to the siege imposed on the entry of basic necessities, especially fuel and flour, since August 2020 from SDF areas.
