The "Syrian Democratic Front", affiliated with the "internal opposition" accepted by the regime, confirmed that it will hold its first general conference in Damascus within days, under the slogan "Together towards real partnership to build a state of citizenship."

The Secretary-General of the Front, a candidate for the play of the former Syrian presidency, Mahmoud Marei, said on Monday that the Front will hold its first general conference on September 4, in Damaroz Hotel, to discuss the front's political vision.

On the military campaign of the regime and the Iranian militias on the province of Daraa in southern Syria, Marei indicated that the front supports what he called "the efforts made by the regime to settle the situation in Daraa and impose its full sovereignty in the province," according to his statement.
