Hezbollah militia deprives the people of Hama countryside of relief support

Hundreds of families in the villages of the eastern countryside of Hama have been suffering from the cessation of relief support provided by organizations, for more than five months due to the practices of the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah militia.

The local "Ain al-Furat" network said that about 700 families in the eastern countryside of Hama are suffering from the cessation of relief support, which prompted the people to demand that the Lebanese Hezbollah militia be lifted from the area and the distribution of support to them.

The network added that the people of the villages of Maazel, Umm al-Rish, al-Masoudia, Abu al-Hawadid, Sam al-Abed, Salam Sharqi, Abu al-Alaya, and al-Jabriya have not received any relief aid from "Syrian Red Crescent" since about last March, unlike the nearby villages.

It pointed out that the reason for stopping the aid is due to the Lebanese Hezbollah militia imposing its control over the area, as it confiscates all aid and distributes it to its members only, without the people getting anything.

It pointed out that the food basket that must be provided monthly by the "Syrian Red Crescent" contains cleaning materials and basic foodstuffs such as rice, sugar, bulgur, lentils, some canned goods and oil for frying, but all these materials often reach a quarter of the original amount after they were stolen from the responsible authorities.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian regime and the Iranian militias manipulate the aid provided to civilians, especially those distributed by the "Syrian Red Crescent" because of its absolute dependence on the regime.
