For the first time since 2018, Russian raids on Afrin, north of Aleppo

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Russian warplanes launched air strikes on "Afrin" area in the northern countryside of Aleppo, for the first time since the Syrian National Army took control of it.
The sources of the opposition "Nedaa Post" website said that the Russian warplanes targeted, with several raids, the town of "Iskan", located between the city of "Darat Izza" and "Al-Ghazawiya", which is administratively affiliated to the center of the city of "Afrin".
It is noteworthy that this is the first time that Russian aircraft have attacked "Afrin" area since the Syrian and Turkish national armies entered it in early 2018 under "Olive Branch" operation.
