Local sources reported that a delegation of French civil society organizations visited the headquarters of the External Relations Department in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

The Foreign Relations Department said, according to the head of the French delegation, Jeremy Chaumatier, that the visit aims "to develop coordination and cooperation between the Autonomous Administration institutions and civil society organizations in France."

The sources added that the meeting dealt with "the participation of the Autonomous Administration in the political process, the implementation of Resolution 2254, as well as the repercussions of the closure of the" Tal Kochar "crossing on the regions of northern and eastern Syria.

During the meeting, the Autonomous Administration called on the international community to "assume its responsibilities and remove the children of ISIS families from the camps and return them to their countries."

It is noteworthy that a delegation from the French Foreign Ministry visited Qamishli on the 13th of last year to coordinate the delegation’s visit to Paris and to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.
