On Monday, the Ministry of Transport in the regime’s government launched a service for renewing vehicle licenses and paying their fees online.

The director of road transport in Al-Assad government, Mahmoud Asa’ad, said, "The service allows citizens to renew their car licenses electronically, conduct transactions and pay fees without having to come to the Transportation Directorate in the governorates."

According to Asa’ad, the service aims to reduce friction between citizens and employees, and to enable transactions to be completed more quickly, at any time and place.
