Dozens of acres planted with wheat burned in Khan Sheikhoun

Dozens of fires broke out on land planted with wheat in the governorates of Idlib, Daraa and Aleppo, causing dozens of agricultural acres to burn.

And the Ministry of Interior in the government of the Syrian regime confirmed that a fire broke out within the agricultural lands located between Khan Sheikhoun area and Al-Habit, which led to the burning of dozens of agricultural acres.

The ministry said that the civil defense forces and internal security forces in Khan Sheikhoun area controlled and put out the fire.

It is noteworthy that the Minister of Agriculture in the government of the Syrian regime, Hassan Qatana, had previously confirmed a few days ago that the expected production quantities would be much less than the planned quantities.

"Qatana" said in statements carried by local media that the drought was severe this year, as no drought like it had passed over the country, which greatly affected barley and wheat, especially since half of the areas cultivated from it were rainfed and dependent on rain water.
