Fires devour more than 170 dunums of wheat in Al-Hasakah

The fire destroyed more than 170 dunums of grain crops in Al-Hasaka countryside, while local sources indicated that the cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Ein Al-Furat network, quoted a local source from Tal Hamis town in the countryside of Al-Hasakah, stated that the villagers informed the civil defense teams, but firefighting cars were late to come, as the people were able to stop the spread of fire by plowing the lands and throwing dirt on them.
The network indicated that anger appeared on the owners of agricultural crops due to the absence of firefighting teams to intervene to put out the fires and their lack of interest in the condition of farmers and their losses.
It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, May 19, a fire destroyed more than 50 dunums of the rain-fed wheat crop, in addition to burning wheat-planted lands in Ziyarah village on the border with Turkey, west of the city of Ain al-Arab / Kobani.
