A fire devastates more than 25 tents in Khirbet Al-Joz in Idlib countryside

Burning of more than 25 tents in Adam camp near the town of Khirbet al-Jawz in the western countryside of Idlib, this afternoon, Thursday, led to significant material damage to the place, without any human injuries.
In a post on Facebook, the Civil Defense said that its teams were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the tents in the camp, stressing that the high temperatures greatly affected the increase in fires in the camps, with the absence of safety steps and the nature of the tents built of cloth and highly fast flammable plastic.
The Civil Defense added that its teams suffer from difficulty in reaching the fire places, especially in the random camps located in northwestern Syria, due to the rugged roads.
Stressing that the displaced suffering in the camps from fires, rain and floods still threaten them, and their suffering will only be ended by returning to their homes and holding Al-Assad regime accountable for its crimes against the Syrian people.
The Civil Defense provided some instructions regarding preventing the recurrence of these fires, the most important of which is not to set fires near the camps, prevent children from tampering with the sources of fire, in addition to paying attention to electrical wires and preventing their exposure to avoid a short circuit that leads to a fire.
