The candidate for the Syrian presidential elections, Abdullah Salloum Abdullah, revealed that his candidacy for the position came in implementation of a party decision issued by the "Socialist Unionists" party, which he has been affiliated for decades.

"Abdullah" explained, in an interview with the Syrian regime's TV, that he was informed of the decision and committed to implementing it, without consulting with any of the members to express his opinion on the assignment that he was entrusted with, considering that it was a task assigned to him and nothing more than implementation.

Abdullah explained, according to what was reported by the Syrian event website, that the terms of his election campaign do not include any personal opinion of him, but are the result of consultations with members of the "Socialist Unionist" party, designed based on the party's general opinions, explaining that even his election campaign motto "Our strength is our unity" is an approach. Affiliated to the party and from its literature.

The candidate appeared previously, placing pictures of the president of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, on his desk, which sparked a wave of ridicule among Syrians on social media about his seriousness in competing with Al-Assad.
