Security tension in Jableh due to attacks and assassinations that targeted officers and security forces in the city

Crossed local sources reported that the coastal city of Jableh and its countryside south of Lattakia is experiencing a state of security tension due to the recording of assassinations and car bombings, most of which belong to security forces officers.

The sources said that 3 officers from the city’s countryside were targeted by detonating explosive devices, and 5 incidents of burning cars were registered at night during the recent period, most of them also belonging to officials and officers in the city.

 And the opposition Syria TV reported from some sources that a car belonging to a military security officer exploded in the village of "Bustan Al-Basha" in the countryside of the city, and another at the entrance to the city near Al-Nour Hospital, and a car belonging to the "State Security", which was parked in front of the house of an officer in the village, was burned in Bsiseen in the countryside of Jableh since the beginning of last April.

The recent assassinations affected Major General "Riad Ahmed Shihab", who previously was a director of the military hospital in Lattakia, and who announced his death due to "Corona" pandemic, as well as the first lieutenant, called "Muhammad Ibrahim Salman," who comes from the countryside of Tartous, and Lieutenant "Ali Fouad." Ghanem, who hails from Jableh, and First Lieutenant Sumer Saeed Morshed, who hails from Qardaha.

The regime’s pages also mourned a number of officers and security personnel who were killed for various reasons, most of which died in mystery, despite the calm of the fighting fronts in most areas.
