One of the biggest tribes of Deir Ezzor announces a boycott of Al-Assad elections

"Al-Qalai'in" tribe, one of the largest clans in Deir Ezzor Governorate, in eastern Syria, announced that it is boycotting the presidential elections being held by the regime, and has disowned anyone claiming affiliation with it, who have links with what they called the farce.
The tribe issued an official statement, published by Deir Ezzor 24 network, in which it said: Its sons are still adhering to the revolution and its principles, which may outweigh any kinship or blood relationship.
The statement considered that all the members of the tribe and other Syrians who participated in those elections are "accomplices in the crimes of Al-Assad, during which more than a million Syrians were killed, and half of the people were displaced inside and outside the country."
The tribe called on every free and honorable member of the Syrian clans and tribes to boycott "that play and adhere to the principles of the revolution of freedom and dignity, and repudiate all supporters of the regime in word and deed."
