Force show... Russia is reinforcing its forces at Hmeimim base with three advanced ejectors

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that three Tu-22M3 long-range ejectors have arrived at the Russian Hmeimim base in Syria, where they will be stationed for the first time.

A statement by the Russian Defense Ministry's press service said: "This is the first time that aircraft of this type are stationed at Hmeimim Airport.

The crews of long-range bombers will acquire practical skills in practicing training missions in new geographical areas during flights in the airspace over the Mediterranean Sea.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the Russian long-range ejectors will return to their permanent bases in Russia after completing the training missions for knowing the airspace in the Mediterranean region.

The ministry indicated that the reconstruction of the second runway at the air base has been completed with the complete replacement of the outer cover, and the installation of new lighting and communication equipment.

Due to the increased runway length, the airport's capabilities to receive and service aircraft of various classes have been expanded.

 It was confirmed that all types of aircraft in the Russian Air Force can now fly from Hmeimim Air Base, including heavy aircraft.
