Tearing up pictures of Bashar al-Assad is tensing the situation in Damascus and its countryside

Yesterday, local sources reported that unknown persons tore down pictures of the President of the regime, Bashar Al-Assad, in Dwel'a area and Kashkool neighborhood of Jaramana town in Damascus countryside.

The "Voice of the Capital" website said that three large pictures of Al-Assad were completely torn, and other pictures were painted red, during a campaign carried out by unknown persons.

The website added, quoted "unnamed" sources, that Al-Assad Intelligence carried out raids that targeted several homes in Dwaila and Kashkol, and arrested 6 people from Eastern Ghouta.

The sources indicated, according to what was reported by the opposition Orient Net, that the intelligence services conducted investigations with the members of the popular committees and the military checkpoints responsible for the neighborhoods in which the disruption took place.

Noting that a major disagreement took place between the leaders of the committees and the security authorities responsible for the area, over the successor to what happened, amid accusations that the Popular Committees neglected the tasks assigned to them, especially since one of the images that were torn apart is only 100 meters away from one of the checkpoints.

Also, in Daraa governorate, a number of young men from Saida town tore down pictures of Bashar, in response to the violations and attacks of Al-Assad militia.
