YPK supporters attacked an American patrol in northeastern Syria

Supporters of the "YPK-PKK" organization targeted an American patrol in northeastern Syria with stones, because of what they considered the American silence towards the Turkish attacks on the organization's sites.

On Monday, a website affiliated with the organization broadcast a video clip showing a group of YPK supporters attacking the American patrol with stones in Jal Agha area of the city of Malikiyah in northeastern Syria.

Crowds of YPK supporters had gone out a few days ago from Al-Qamishli city in a march to the city of Malikiyah, denouncing the Turkish attacks on the organization’s sites in northern Iraq, and to support Abdullah Ocalan, leader of PKK organization imprisoned in Turkey since 1999.

The organization’s supporters had previously targeted US patrols with stones for their withdrawal from a number of points in the region following Turkey’s launch of Nab Al-Salam Operation in northern Syria in October 2019.
