Russian forces prevent civilian and commercial convoys from crossing the M4

On Sunday morning, the Russian forces, in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stopped the passage of civilian and commercial convoys along the M4 highway between Abu Rasin Junction, north of Hasaka, and Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, for security reasons.

And quoting “Radio Al-Kul” from the Abu Rasin border crossings administration, that the Russian side is responsible for “guarding” civilian and commercial convoys between Abu Rasin and Ain Issa via the “M4” road separating the Syrian Democratic Forces, and that the Syrian National Army refrained from sending the usual convoy, The Kurdish side informed that the "confessional" was suspended until further notice at that time.

The source explained that the suspension was for security reasons specific to the Russian side, and not to the SDF.

He added that dozens of trucks loaded with industrial and commercial products, agricultural crops, fodder and several civilian cars waited at the Abu Rasin border crossing, north of Hasaka, from 7 am until 12 pm, and until the afternoon, before informing them that the "traffic" in the direction of Ain Issa had stopped, so they had to cross the road. "Al-Abyad", which connects between Al-Hasakah and Raqqa, although it is considered a secondary road and is not intended for heavy loads.

It is noteworthy that the Russian armed forces cross the commercial and civil convoys on the "M4" road between Ain Issa and Abu Rasin in two trips, the first at 8 am to Ain Issa and the second at noon, in the opposite direction, while the crossing is closed every Friday of the week.
