The third in 24 hours, Civil Defense retrieves a body of a child who drowned in Maidanki

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Syrian Civil Defense teams working in Aleppo governorate retrieved the body of a child who drowned in the waters of Maidanki Lake in the countryside of Afrin.

And the Civil Defense said, through its official identifier on Telegram, yesterday, Wednesday, July 14, that the diving teams recovered from Maidanki Lake the body of the child, “Abdul Qadir Ahmed Al-Ali,” 13 years old, who fell in the waterwheel while grazing sheep, and handed over his body to his family.

It added that this is the third accident in the last 24 hours, bringing the death outcome of drownings in northwestern Syria to 30 since the beginning of this year.

Afrin city in the countryside of Aleppo constantly records many cases of drowning while swimming in the water and lakes scattered there, despite all the warnings issued by the Civil Defense.

On July 9, the Civil Defense rescued the 5-year-old girl, “Hana Mahmoud Hamama,” after she drowned in Lake Medanki.
