Parliament of the regime announces that it has received 12 applications to run for the presidential elections

The regime’s People's Assembly began by voting on 12 applications who submitted to run for the presidential elections, where a candidate must obtain 35 votes from members of Parliament to run in the elections.

Many observers confirmed that this condition would hardly allow three people to enter the election race, because more than 70% of the parliament members belong to the parties of the National Progressive Front and they can only vote for the front's candidate, who is Bashar al-Assad, while the remaining 80 votes are for the remaining candidates.
