Attacking the phosphate convoy in Homs

local sources said that a convoy of trucks loaded with phosphate belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia came under attack yesterday, Saturday, by unknown armed men in the Palmyra region, east of Homs.

The sources added that the armed men forced the convoy to go back to Khunayfis’ mines in south west of Palmyra after attacking it in Khunayfis – Palmyra road.

The sources pointed, according to the opposition Syria TV, that the attack on the convoy of 15 trucks resulted killing of 3 drivers and injury of two companion of the Revolutionary Guard, in addition to damaging 5 trucks, which were pulled by military reinforcements that arrived late in the area. sources pointed that the dead were moved to Palmyra Military Hospital, awaiting delivery of their bodies to their families, while the wounded Revolutionary Guards were taken to Homs Military Hospital.
